Judith Loyack Wagner, age 87, formerly of Pittston, died May 20,2023 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She lived in Gambrills MD. From 1974 until her death.

Born July 26,1935, to Michael and Margaret Connell Loyack: a 1952 graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School, a Bell Telephone employee until her marriage to Robert J. Wagner, her High School sweetheart, in the Church of the Holy Cross, Nicosia, Cyprus on July 19,1958.

Judy created loving homes for her husband and children on Guam, in Clinton MD., Fort George G. Meade, MD, Temple Hills, MD., Misawa, Japan and lastly in Gambrills, MD.

She was a devoted wife and mother, who volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide, Cub Scout Den Mother, CCD instructor and assisted with Religious Education Programs during her Childrens and grandson’s youth and teenage years. Her children, Robi, Willy and Bek and grandson, Andrew brought her joy and love every day of her life.

When LCDR (Ret.) Wagner retired from the United States navy in 1980, Judy attended and graduated from Anne Arundel Community College, Magna-cum-laude with a Computer Science Degree and management Certificate in 1983 when she was 48 years old. She “Loved to Learn.” She was employed by the Anne Arundel County Government until she accepted employment at the National Security Agency at Fort George G. Meade.

In addition to her lifelong Love, Robert J. Wagner, she is survived by “Her Treasures”- Robert A. Wagner (Brenda), Spring Brook Township, PA, William A. Wagner II, Gambrills, MD., Rebecca A. Fiaschetti (Dominic), Gambrills, MD and one precious GRANDCHILD, Andrew Michael Pendrell. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Grace G. Loyack and brother-in-law, Wiley McKinney Jr. She was blessed with many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her precious siblings, George F. Loyack, Michael J. Loyack and Rosemary Loyack

The family will receive friends on Friday May 26,2023 from 5-7 pm at the Hardesty funeral home P.A. 851 Annapolis Road Gambrills, MD 21054.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 30, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 North Main St., Pittston. Friends may call at the church from 9 to 10. Interment will be in St. Mary, Help of Christians Cemetery, Pittston. Arrangement by the Paul F. Leonard Funeral Home, Pittston.
