Obituaries » Helen M Kelly April 8, 1939 - March 31, 2023 Service Date: April 4, 2023 Helen Marie Kelly Helen Marie Kelly, Pittston, passed away early Friday morning at Allied Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Hoover Kelly. Helen graduated from Pittston High School; she also graduated from Misericordia University, Dallas, PA, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education; she also graduated from Rider University, Trenton, NJ, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Business Education. Helen was a high school teacher at Clearview High School in Mullica Hill, NJ, and later taught at several community colleges in New Jersey and Maryland. Helen also worked for 25 years at GP Strategies Corporation, a large training and engineering firm in Columbia, MD. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas, Cleveland, OH, and James, Pittston; a sister, Ann, Pittston; a sister-in-law, Mary, and nephew, Tom, Canton, GA; and a good friend, Basil Dugan. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph. The funeral will be Tuesday morning with a burial service at 10 in St. Mary, Help of Christians Cemetery, Pittston.
